New aspiration: become the token female in an indie band. As it happens, I love all of these bands. And look at the variety of mustaches they have to choose from (jk I hate mustaches)!
I can't even #lol

When You Were Young
I had been waiting years to see The Killers in concert. Like a game of cat and mouse, they'd come to cities as I was leaving them. They came to Texas when I was in New York, they came to New York as I was moving back to Texas, they came to Texas when I was in The Netherlands...and when they came to The Netherlands the show got canceled an hour before. "FML" was how that seemed to be going.
When I bought tickets for this show back in January I was obviously really excited, but I was also really anxious that something was going to happen. As we were driving to the show last night an unforecasted torrential downpour blew in and I thought, 'why yes hello I've been waiting for, Karma.'
It made us late (technically) and very damp upon arrival but we did make it in time for The Killers.
This is Brandon Flowers playing his lightning bolt keyboard:
And this happens during "Miss Atomic Bomb" :
It was wonderful and epic and everything I hoped it would be.
No words really.
*Note: These are all press photos. Don't worry, I haven't broken my no pictures at concerts pact.

These two songs ("Helicopter" by Oh Land and "I Am Not A Robot" by Marina and the Diamonds) always make me think of Geek Friday.
